CHIRI Associate Professor Pritinder Kaur will join five other leading Australian stem cell researchers as a panellist at a free public forum in Melbourne in June.
The ‘Stem Cell Research – Now and in the Future’ public forum will discuss how stem cells could change the future of medicine.
As the Head of CHIRI’s Epithelial Stem Cell Biology Group, Associate Professor Kaur will give a brief presentation on her research, which is focused on epithelial stem cells and uses human skin cells as a model for understanding how the epithelial layers are developed, before fielding questions from the general public in a Q&A discussion.
Hosted by the Australasian Society for Stem Cell Research and supported by the National Stem Cell Foundation of Australia the public forum will be held in conjunction with the 2018 International Society for Stem Cell Research Meeting.
The annual meeting is expected to attract several thousand lead world stem cell scientists to Melbourne.
