Suggestion Box: Extended Hours

By Michelle Taylor 31 October 2012 News & events Comments off

From the Suggestion box @ Curtin Library…

As a student at Curtin studying for exams, during the exam week, I would have expected better, of you to have kept all library levels open on a Friday so we can study for our exams!!! Also Sat & Sun. I don’t believe your closing the levels. It is not appropriate to do that ‘during exams’. It has never been like this in the past. Change your system please.

The Library response…

Thank you for your feedback.

The change to the opening hours this semester allowed us to provide extended open hours over both exam weeks. You may have noted that for the first time we have been able to provide longer opening hours through till Wednesday the 31st of October. This is three days longer than we have been able to provide this service to students studying for exams previously.

The Library does seek to actively use its resources and budgets to best of our ability to meet the needs of all students. However, your comments regarding the closing of Levels 4, 5 and 6 are noted and will be used to inform our Extended Hours planning for next semester.

Kind regards
