Suggestion: Silent Room Monitoring

By Curtin Library 13 September 2017 News & events Comments Off on Suggestion: Silent Room Monitoring

From the suggestion box@Curtin Library…

Please increase frequency of rover patrols of the silent rooms, especially during mid-semester and end of semester exams. There are often people whispering or playing music/lectures at a loud level through their earphones and this is distracting.

The Library responds…

Thank you for the suggestion. I have asked Library Staff to pay special attention to monitoring noise. The Library will run a ‘Silent on 6’ campaign for study week and exam weeks to ensure that the environment is as quiet as possible in the lead up to exams. In the meantime, please tell a staff member if you are being disturbed. You can also report problems to Libraryenquiries@curtin.edu.au as this email address is monitored all the time the Library is providing full service and issues will be attended to as soon as possible once they are drawn to our attention.
