Suggestion: Noise on Level 6

By Curtin Library 1 September 2017 News & events Comments Off on Suggestion: Noise on Level 6

From the suggestion box@Curtin Library…

Please make the individual study rooms/cubicles on Level 6 silent. Even when people are whispering the noise carries through the area and disturbs others. Also the computers outside this area near the sorting shelves encourages people to talk loudly which again is disturbing. Thanks.

The Library responds…

Thank you for the suggestion to introduce more silent areas on Level 6 of the Robertson Library.   We will consider this.  At the moment, in areas outside the Silent Room on Level 6, people are expected to speak in quiet voices and be considerate of others.

I have asked Library staff who are monitoring the area to be alert to the concerns you raise and where necessary, remind people of the rules.  You may also report problems like this to Libraryenquiries@curtin.edu.au. This email address is monitored all the time the Library is providing full service and issues will be attended to as soon as possible once they are drawn to our attention.
