Suggestion: Coughing in Silent Areas

By Curtin Library 29 August 2018 News & events Comments Off on Suggestion: Coughing in Silent Areas

From the suggestion box@Curtin Library…

Please put up signs in the silent areas asking people who are sick with a cough not to use these areas. It is so hard to study when every second person is coughing up their spleen.

I know this is a place of higher education and asking people not to do this shouldn’t be required, but it obviously is.

The Library responds…

Thank you for your comment. I can understand your concerns. I will arrange for a public health notice reminder to be placed in the silent areas. If you do have a concern regarding noise in the future, I would ask that you please report this to Library Staff as soon as possible so that it can be addressed. You can phone us on 9266 7166 (or just 7166 from a Library help phone) or email us libraryhelp@curtin.edu.au. This email address is monitored all the time the Library is providing full service and issues will be attended to as soon as possible once they are drawn to our attention.
