Suggestion: air conditioning

By Curtin Library 14 November 2017 Facilities No Comments »

From the suggestion box@Curtin Library…

PLEASE TURN DOWN THE AIRCON!! LEAVE 6 IS FREEZING ESPECIALLY THE COMPUTER ROOMS!!! and its been freezing everyday since it got “hot”, calm down it is not that hot outside. Sorry for the caps, but its hard to study in a freezing room, if I move to other levels everyone talks so no I cannot move down to other levels.

Thanks, kindly from a stressed out student that’s going to turn into an ice block. P.S I am not the only one who is annoyed at this and can’t even focus on studying.

The Library responds…

Thank you for your feedback. The temperature of the air conditioning is centrally set at the University and not individually controlled by the Library.  I understand it is difficult to get the balance right and it can depend on the number of students in the building. I have passed your comment on to the University Properties area responsible for the air conditioning to investigate.
