Suggestion: Finding Items

By Curtin Library 11 October 2018 News & events 2 Comments »

From the suggestion box@Curtin Library…

Could you please put the aisle that print books are located in as this would make finding them much quicker

The Library responds…

Thank you for your suggestion. We do try to make sure that the call number ranges on the ends of the book stacks are as accurate as possible, but because the collection grows and shrinks in different places, individual items do not always stay in the same aisle. If you are having difficulty finding what you are looking for please ask one of the Library Student Assistants or at the Library Help Desk on Level 2 of the Robertson Library.

      Thank you for your comment.

Library staff are aware of how distracting some of the smells and noise from food can be and we have a considerate policy focussed on noise, food and drink. We have designated zones throughout the library with strictly no food, drink or noise in silent areas, some inoffensive snacking allowed in considerate areas and eating, drinking and noise allowed in social areas. Level 2 is designated as a social area due to facilities such as the café, lounge, large group study tables and casual seating areas such as Darley Street. There are casual seating areas designated as considerate on levels 3, 4 and 5 which may be better suited to your needs.

      Kind regards
