Suggestion Box: Printer Queue

By Curtin Library 8 April 2019 News & events 2 Comments »

From the suggestion box@Curtin Library…

Is there a way that we can clear the print jobs left over from previous users? On many occasions, I have set up at a computer and tried to print and find I am unable to because of ‘stuck’ jobs I can’t clear/delete. I then have to play a guessing game as to which computer I can log onto so I can print what I need. This is very frustrating to have to log on to several computers to be able to print some documents.

The Library responds…

Thanks for your feedback, we’ll pass this onto Curtin’s IT department to see if they can resolve.

Just wanted to support this comment; I’ve spent at least 30 minutes this morning moving from computer to computer (all up, 5 computers have been stuck on another person’s printing job) for this problem. It’s not the first time either, and can be very frustrating.

Thanks for the feedback. We’ve followed up with CITS and they have identified the problem and are reinstating the fix for this.
