Silent on Six

By Curtin Library 28 October 2019 News & events 3 Comments »

From Monday 4 November 2019 to Friday 22 November 2019, the entire level 6 of the Robertson Library (including group study rooms) will become a silent study space.

Please take phone calls and group discussions to levels 2, 3, 4, or 5, or book a group study room here.

Noisy, hot, messy or odorous foods may only be consumed in the Bookmark Cafe, the Library Foyer, or Lounge @ your Library located on level 2.

Please take this into consideration when you are using the Library this exam period.

please can you provide microwaves in the library as we all have to study late nights in exams.

Just make sure that on the library room booking page, you actually state that level 6 rooms are SILENT. Q1, How do you have a silent room full of people? Q2, Will you now be able to book level 6 rooms for 1 or 2 people? (to keep the noise down).

Thanks for your feedback and we apologise for missing this message in the leadup to Silent on 6. We have added a reminder to the Room Bookings webpage that level 6 is silent until the end of exams.

This year the Library has been trialling allowing individuals or groups of 2 or more to make room bookings in rooms on all floors to suit different study needs. You can see our terms of use and make a booking here:
