The 2017 John Curtin Prime Ministerial Library Anniversary Lecture will be presented by The Honourable Julia Gillard AC, Patron of the John Curtin Prime Ministerial Library.
The John Curtin Prime Ministerial Library (JCPML) Anniversary Lecture commemorates the anniversary of John Curtin’s death on 5 July 1945. Curtin was the only Australian Prime Minister to represent a Western Australian seat in the House of Representatives and led his country during the most critical phase of World War II. The JCPML recognises Curtin’s significant contribution to Australian society.

About Julia Gillard
The Honourable Julia Gillard was sworn in as the 27th Prime Minister of Australia on 24 June 2010 and served in that office until June 2013. Ms Gillard was the first woman to serve as Australia’s Prime Minister or Deputy Prime Minister. On Australia Day 2017, Ms Gillard was awarded a Companion of the Order of Australia.
