Over 180 keen attendees came together at the Curtin University Tim Winton Lecture Theatre for the showing of the 5 Broken Cameras documentary on the 12th of September, 2013. Mary Anne Kenny, Director of the Centre for Human Rights Education introduced and highlighted the anniversary and work of the Centre for Human Rights Education. Steve Fleming from Friends of Palestine WA then gave a brief background to the documentary before the screening. After the movie was shown, Steve and Nick Everett from FOPWA highlighted their personal reasons for getting involved with the organisation and talked about the situations the Palestinian people face on a daily basis. Thank you to Friends of Palestine WA for organising the screening in collaboration with the Centre, it is definitely worth seeing to gain a better understanding of the what people in the occupied territories face on a daily basis.
