 Operation Santa

Operation Santa supports families most in need at Christmas time. Last year Unitingcare West distributed 1486 hampers and gifts to the WA community. This effort would not be possible without the dedicated volunteers who sort and distribute these donations in the lead up to Christmas. Each gift or hamper is selected and individually matched to a child or family by the volunteers.

Operation Santa needs helpers in the following areas:

 Hamper packers assist in unpacking and sorting of donations; gift match the donations to the expressed wish to our client; and packaging and labelling hampers.

 Drivers and driver’s assistants will assist by collecting donations from our donor’s premises and distributing hampers to our clients according to our schedule.

Ideally, you are available weekdays from November 12 to 24 December between 9am and 2pm and willing to work at our workshop located at Westminster House 10 Pier Street Perth WA, level 3.

We are flexible to volunteer’s availability and will endeavour to accommodate this.

The workshop is located in the CBD and is easily accessible to public transport. It is approximately a two minute walk from McIver train station.

We provide volunteers with a $6.50 lunch voucher for each shift worked and the premises have kitchen and toilet facilities.

Requirements: Drivers must have a valid driving licence and good driving record. Both roles may require heavy lifting (of charity boxes and hampers).

If you have any queries about the Operation Santa program or the volunteer positions please do not hesitate to contact Allison Plenk on 9355 9024 or 0429 723 882
