Therapy Focus - Dress up as Sunny!
Therapy Focus are an organisation which help people understand the value of the abilities of all children. They run several different programmes and events, one of which (Sunny’s Sunday Carnival) is pictured here.
They are now looking for volunteers for visits to primary schools across the metropolitan region. Volunteers will dress up as Sunny the Sunflower, capturing the audience’s attention while a therapist speaks for 5 minutes about how children with disabilities have the same abilities as regular kids.
Therapy Focus go to around 800 schools a year, so there is plenty of scope for this activity! Additionally, there is no fixed weekly time that these sessions are held as they are timed to fit in with the primary schools’ assemblies.
